GTC Platform Terms of Use

Preamble

This agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions governing your (“Client”) use of any services and products provided by Gold Trade Center for Gold Jewelry Trading (GTC) – registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt under Commercial Register No. [●] and Tax Card No. [●] – whether through the website (www.gtc-gold.com) or the mobile application (the “Platform”).
By clicking the "Agree" button, continuing to browse the Platform, or executing your first gold purchase or sale transaction, you explicitly and unconditionally accept all the provisions of this Agreement and its annexed policies.


Article 1 – Definitions

Term Definition
Company Gold Trade Center for Gold Jewelry Trading – GTC, including all its branches or authorized agents.
Client / User Any natural or legal person who registers an account or executes transactions through the Platform.
Gold Jewelry Bullion, coins, ornaments, or any gold products offered for sale or purchase through GTC.
Platform The website, the mobile application, and all related APIs and systems.
KYC Know Your Customer procedures in accordance with Egyptian laws and the Anti-Money Laundering Unit of the Central Bank.
AML/CFT Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing systems applied locally and internationally.
Screen Price The live gold price displayed on the Platform at the moment of placing a buy or sell order.
Order Any buy or sell request submitted through the Platform.
Banking Day Any day on which Egyptian banks are not officially closed.

Article 2 – Scope of Application

  1. This Agreement applies to every visit, registration, financial transaction, document upload, or use of any service provided by the Company.

  2. In case of conflict between this Agreement and any other published content on the Platform, the Agreement shall prevail unless explicitly stated otherwise.

  3. All annexes (e.g., KYC Annex, Privacy Policy Annex) form an integral part of this Agreement.


Article 3 – Registration and Account Opening

  1. The Client must be at least 18 years old, or legally represented if a legal entity.

  2. The Client shall fill in the registration form with accurate information (full name, national ID/passport, address, phone, email).

  3. The Company shall approve or reject account opening within three (3) business days after completing KYC review.

  4. The Company reserves the right to request/renew identity documents periodically or when the Client’s transactions exceed a specified financial threshold.

  5. The Client is fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their username, password, and two-factor authentication (2FA) codes.


Article 4 – KYC Verification and AML Compliance

  1. Mandatory documents before the first purchase:
    • Clear copy of national ID (both sides) or passport.
    • Bank statement, salary certificate, or proof of funds when monthly transactions exceed EGP 1,000,000.

  2. In compliance with AML regulations, the Company may freeze any transaction and suspend settlement until additional documents are provided.

  3. The Client has the right to know the reasons for rejection unless disclosure conflicts with confidentiality of reports or orders of regulatory authorities.

  4. Acceptance of this article authorizes the Company to verify documents through governmental or private databases.


Article 5 – Order Placement, Pricing, and Execution

  1. Displayed prices are for immediate execution (Spot) and reflect the average of global gold exchanges plus a risk and volatility coverage margin.

  2. By placing a buy order, you agree to reserve the displayed price for a maximum of 120 seconds. If payment is not completed within this window, the price is automatically canceled.

  3. Delivery modes provided by the Company:
    • Immediate pickup at branch (same banking day).
    • Secured delivery within Egypt (2–4 business days).

  4. The Client bears the delivery and insurance fees announced at the time of order completion.

  5. The Company may reject buy/sell orders that exceed liquidity or available quantities.


Article 6 – Payment and Settlement

  1. Accepted payment methods: cash at branch, local bank transfer, credit/debit cards, licensed e-wallets.

  2. For payments exceeding EGP 250,000, the Client must transfer from a bank account under the same name as their Platform account.

  3. Delivery procedures commence only after final bank confirmation of funds received.

  4. If settlement cannot be completed within two (2) business days for Client-related reasons, the Company may cancel the order and refund the amount after deducting price differences and any bank fees.

  5. For sales, the Company transfers the amount within 1 to 3 business days, excluding official holidays.


Article 7 – Return and Exchange Policy

  1. Bullion or coins cannot be returned once received and released from the Company’s custody, except in case of proven manufacturing defect.

  2. Jewelry (ornaments) may be exchanged within 24 hours provided seals are not broken and the item has not been worn.

  3. The Client bears return shipping costs and price differences in case of market decline; the Company bears differences in case of price increase.

  4. Custom-made designs are non-returnable except in cases of major manufacturing defects certified by an accredited laboratory.


Article 8 – Data Confidentiality and Protection

  1. Client data is subject to Law No. 151 of 2020 on Personal Data Protection and its executive regulations.

  2. The Company commits to encrypt sensitive data transfers (SSL/TLS) and store them on secure servers within Egypt or with cloud providers certified with ISO 27001.

  3. The Company shall not disclose Client data to third parties except in the following cases:
    • Judicial order or competent regulatory authorities.
    • Explicit written or electronic consent from the Client.
    • Internal data analysis, provided the data is anonymized.


Article 9 – Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

  1. Platform services are provided “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties regarding uninterrupted service or error-free performance.

  2. The Company bears no liability for losses arising from global price fluctuations or delays in payment networks or the Client’s internet.

  3. Maximum liability of the Company shall not exceed the value of the disputed transaction, unless otherwise required by law.


Article 10 – Risk Disclaimer

  1. Investing in gold may involve sharp price fluctuations; past profits do not guarantee future returns.

  2. The Client should assess their financial situation and consult an independent financial advisor before making buy/sell decisions.

  3. By using the Platform, the Client acknowledges and accepts these risks and bears full responsibility for their investment decisions.


Article 11 – Force Majeure

The Company is exempt from liability for failure or delay due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, wars, emergency government decisions, telecommunications or power outages, financial market collapse, or suspension of global pricing platforms.


Article 12 – Intellectual Property

  1. All content (texts, logos, designs, codes) is exclusively owned by GTC and may not be reused without written permission.

  2. Reverse engineering, copying, or distributing any part of the Platform’s software is strictly prohibited.


Article 13 – Amendment of Agreement

The Company reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time. Amendments become effective five (5) business days after publication on official pages. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of such amendments.


Article 14 – Account Termination

  1. The Client may request account closure provided all open positions are settled and outstanding amounts cleared.

  2. The Company reserves the right to immediately terminate or freeze an account if:
    • The account is used for suspected money laundering activities.
    • False or forged documents/information are submitted.
